Fire Chief Goes Insane, Issues Common Sense orders

Nowhere, USA:

A fire chief acted using common sense today setting off a chain reaction around the city. The Mayor called for an investigation while council members stood at his side applauding the mayor for his decisive decision.

The Bureau of Administration began frantically sending out memos to all stations reminding them the Fire Chief WAS NOT more powerful than paperwork. Operational units sat stunned as word passed quickly that the chief had actually used common sense. Milling around the bay some firefighters were certain the end of time was near. More than a dozen shed tears.
