The IARFF is seeking to expand the roles of it's members in the fire service. Founded on the principle of "Hey, he's a warm body, he'll do", the IARFF has a strong presence among volunteer departments across America. Not to be left out, other departments PAY THEM for their services.
Whether raising a ladder upside down, opening the wrong discharge, or running out of air prior to making entry, IARFF members stand ready.

I think there is a battalion chief in Charleston and one near Mable T. Willis Blvd that are the president and vice president!!!
